ACE members and guests will learn to recognize how their actions and behaviors come across to others and how to adapt their style to improve their effectiveness at work and home. The session will be highly interactive with fun exercises for members and guests.
Learn to recognize how your actions and behaviors come across to others and how to adapt your style to improve effectiveness at work and home. The Lean East team focuses on developing high performance organizations. Members of the Lean East team will share our experience with organizational improvement efforts where behavior styles impacted team results. Senior Consultant Michelle Wyman will then introduce a simple Behavior Styles model she is certified in that looks at two dimensions of behavior. Attendees will learn their personal style and the benefits of becoming more versatile with interpersonal interactions.
Note: This meeting will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport.

Michelle Wyman’s mission is to create learning opportunities that support and engage individuals in reaching their personal best (confident, competent and fulfilled) and organizations in continuously improving to achieve strategic objectives. Michelle is a Senior Consultant with Lean East and has previously held leadership positions in energy, health care, and manufacturing industries where she has managed Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Team Development, Apprenticeship Programs, Technical Skills Training, and Human Resource functions. She has extensive experience with performance management, competency development and coaching. Michelle is a Senior Professional in Human Resource with 30 years of Organizational Development, Training and Human Resource experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education and is certified in Coaching, Change Management, Six Sigma and as a Society of Human Resources Management – Senior Certified Professional. Michelle formerly served on the Board of Directors for Coastal Counties Workforce Development and on the Executive Board of Maine’s Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration where she received a Leadership Award for her Training and Development efforts. Lean East is a team of organizational process improvement experts based in Brunswick. Team members Steve Musica and Bob Cameron will assist in facilitating the session.

Registrations (and registration cancellations) are required by January 14th. If you want to be included on the registration list at the meeting then you need to register by the due date.

Members: the $22 fee only works if you pay in advance. At the door, it is $28.
Cancellations:
If you find you can't attend, please notify us by January 14th. After that date, we cannot refund or push forward.
Cancellation - the meeting will be cancelled if Portland Schools are cancelled.
