This program and workshop will equip consultants, businesses, grantors and lenders businesses with the tools and knowledge they need to draft and evaluate scopes of work for all MTI grants.  It will also educate members of grant and loan committees, inside and outside MTI, on what they should look for before approving funding.    The presentation portion of the program features ACE Vice President Carrie Green Yardley, Esq., and Emily Braley, Program Director for MTI's Maine Entrepreneurial Resource Corps.   The workshop portion, led by ACE and MTI faculty, will be a hands-on exercise critiquing a scope of work, and drafting a new one.

About Our Speakers:

Emily Braley is a Maine native and holds a BA in Religion and a BA/MA in from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Her desire to study economics stems from her passion for economic development in Maine as well as internationally. She is currently an ambassador to an economic development NGO, PISC-Nepal, located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Additionally, Emily has worked with USAID to research and develop a gender analysis used to direct gender mainstreaming into USAID/Mongolia’s programming efforts. Though much of her experience has been international, she is excited to be back in her beautiful home state to support Maine
